Synopsis
This is not a bibliography of children's books: it is the first attempt at a comprehensive bibliography of scholarly and critical literature surrounding children's books, historical and contemporarychildren's books as the object of legitimate scholarly and critical concern. It is divided into sections covering children's literature today and yesterday; early publishers of children's literature; periodicals, bibliographical aids, and scholarly books whose focus is children's literature; literature about authors of children's books, and such areas as the writing, publishing, and reviewing of children's books.
